Un tout petit espace blanc inexistant jusqu\u2019alors, une seconde suspendue. Et dans la seconde suspendue, la seconde impr\u00e9cise, toute la suite de la vie s\u2019est engouffr\u00e9e, a pris ses aises, a d\u00e9roul\u00e9 ses cons\u00e9quences.&nbsp;<em>\u00bb<\/em><\/p><p><em>Mariette NAVARRO,<\/em> Ultramarins, <em>Quidam \u00e9diteur, 2021<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Les \u00ab&nbsp;<i>cons\u00e9quences<\/i>&nbsp;\u00bb, c\u2019est <em>l\u2019autre <\/em>qui surgit de ce tout petit espace blanc, qui na\u00eet de ce d\u00e9placement, de cette impr\u00e9cision. Qui vient s\u2019immiscer dans l\u2019interstice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019impr\u00e9vu de la <em>rencontre<\/em>, voil\u00e0 ce que raconte ce roman po\u00e9tique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><h2>L\u2019interstice<\/h2><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 bord d\u2019un cargo, les marins s\u2019autorisent une pause \u2013 une <em>folie <\/em>\u2013 dans le d\u00e9roul\u00e9 minut\u00e9 de leur journ\u00e9e. Ils d\u00e9cident de couper les moteurs et de plonger nus dans l\u2019oc\u00e9an. Seule la commandante est rest\u00e9e \u00e0 bord. Gardienne du navire et point de rep\u00e8re de ceux qui s\u2019enivrent de l\u2019immensit\u00e9 de l\u2019horizon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La baignade a un petit go\u00fbt <em>d\u2019interdit<\/em>. Une exception qui se savoure. Le <em>choc <\/em>provoqu\u00e9 par l\u2019immersion fait resurgir des images enfouies, <em>r\u00e9gressives&nbsp;<\/em>: \u00ab&nbsp;<i>On voit sous leurs paupi\u00e8res passer des paysages, des vacances d\u2019enfance, des plaines si vastes qu\u2019on les croit pr\u00e9historiques, des pluies de d\u00e9luge, des v\u00e9los lanc\u00e9s sous des soleils de plomb, des maisons minuscules cach\u00e9es dans les rochers, des champs de tournesols et des champs de colza, des plages, des \u00e9pices, des cabanes.<\/i>&nbsp;\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais il est temps de sortir de l\u2019eau, de retourner dans la vie d\u2019adulte. Les marins se comptent, se recomptent&nbsp;: ils ne sont plus vingt, ils sont vingt-et-un\u2026 L\u2019hypoth\u00e8se sera faite d\u2019un passager clandestin. Le roman se terminera sans apporter de r\u00e9ponse. Il y a une personne en plus, un autre, un inconnu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une \u00e9trange brume enveloppe soudainement le bateau qui \u00e9chappe sans raison apparente aux man\u0153uvres de l\u2019\u00e9quipage. \u00ab&nbsp;<i>Est-ce que vous pensez possible que notre bateau\u2026 que notre bateau ait d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une sorte d\u2019autonomie, de personnalit\u00e9 propre&nbsp;?<\/i>&nbsp;\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><h2>L\u2019impr\u00e9vu de la rencontre<\/h2><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme enivr\u00e9 par cette br\u00e8che dans l\u2019espace-temps, le cargo s\u2019est mis \u00e0 ralentir pour ne plus vouloir repartir. Il reprendra de la vitesse, les choses sembleront rentrer dans l\u2019ordre. Mais plus rien ne sera comme avant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u2019est \u00e0 ce moment-l\u00e0 que la <em>rencontre <\/em>peut avoir lieu. Elle prend la forme d\u2019un <em>malaise <\/em>qui \u00e9chappe \u00e0 la commandante. Son&nbsp;second ose alors l\u2019approcher&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;<i>Une heure plus tard, ils sont encore dans les bras l\u2019un de l\u2019autre. Miracle de l\u2019oc\u00e9an, elle s\u2019est surprise \u00e0 pleurer d\u2019un coup, sans tristesse pr\u00e9paratoire.<\/i>&nbsp;\u00bb Elle se laisse enlacer, devient vuln\u00e9rable, prend le risque du <em>lien<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La br\u00e8che ouverte par ce minuscule \u00e9v\u00e9nement, une baignade, a lib\u00e9r\u00e9 l\u2019h\u00e9ro\u00efne du poids d\u2019un <em>affect refoul\u00e9<\/em>, d\u2019une <em>\u00e9motion <\/em>contenue.
